I was thrilled to have received the 2024 Spring Intercultural Champion Award for my work in increasing language access. I want to thank the Spring Institute for this award and all the work they do in helping individuals receive language access and advocating for language accessible programming. I was proud to be a co-sponsor of HB24-1368 this past session, which created an advisory board that will explore long term solutions to improve language access so that everyone can come and speak at the State Capitol. I believe that language access is important and everyone deserves to access our work in their primary language.
